Background

This week I´ve been working on some backgrounds in my artistic notebook. This is the technique of MARBLED - for its implementation put some stained glass paints in a bowl with water, the inks will get to float on the surface, then with a stick blend to create different effects and passed the sheet of paper above. this was the end result ... Enjoy yourselves creating backgrounds that will be the basis for your artwork.

Esta semana estive a trabalhar em alguns fundos no meu caderno artístico. Esta é a técnica do MARMOREADO - para a sua execução colocam-se tintas de vitral numa bacia com água, as tintas vão ficar a boiar na superfície, depois com um pauzinho misturam-se para criar efeitos e  passa-se a folha de papel por cima. este é o resultado final... Divirtam-se também a criar fundos que servirão de base para os teus trabalhos artísticos.

I've been working on a new page in my artistic notebook, I used various techniques in its execution, acrylics, collages, stamps and pens. Estive a trabalhar numa nova página no meu caderno artístico, usei várias técnicas na sua execução, tintas acrílicas, colagens, carimbos e canetas. O que não te desafia não te faz mudar, é o que está escrito nestas páginas, é um dos desafios para este ano conseguir criar mais vezes novas páginas no meu caderno artístico, sei que vai ser difícil mas é mais um desafio que espero vencer.

New Midori

I decided to make another Midori for this new year, and how I want to be very lucky decorated it with a hand talisman of Fatima. This Midori was made with reusable materials, used a box of cereal as a base in its construction, then I lined it with sticky paper with this gorgeous geometric pattern finally put a white elastic. I hope you enjoy the end result and may also try to make a Midori to save your annual agenda.

Resolvi fazer outro Midori para este novo ano, e como quero ter muita sorte decorei-o com um talismã da mão de Fátima. Este Midori foi feito com materiais reutilizáveis, usei uma caixa de cereais como base na sua construção, depois forrei-a com papel autocolante com este lindo padrão geométrico por fim coloquei um elástico branco. Espero que gostem do resultado final e podem também experimentar fazer um Midori para guardar a tua agenda anual.

New jornal

We all have a journey to follow, different and unique and therefore we must always follow our hearts and tell our story with feelings, when we can not do through words we can do it through painting, that's why it is important to have an art book where we can put all our feelings. This is my first page of my new artistic notebook, I will start a new journey start this journey with me.

Todos nós temos um caminho a seguir, diferente e único, e por isso mesmo devemos seguir sempre o nosso coração e contar a nossa história com sentimento e quando não o conseguimos fazer através de palavras, podemos fazê-lo através da pintura, é por isso que é importante ter um caderno artístico onde podemos colocar todos os nossos sentimentos. Artistic book

The most interesting thing about being an artist is that we can create whatever we please, and long ago I have in mind make an artistic book made ​​entirely with pieces of paper that had at home where I applied various painting techniques. After several researches decided to do it with cereal box reuse. For make the cover I cut the cereal box to achieve load A4 sheets folded in half, then I cover the box with a printing technique very easy to do.

A coisa mais interessante em ser artista é que podemos criar tudo aquilo que nos apetece, e já há muito tempo que tenho em mente realizar um caderno artístico feito totalmente com folhas de papel que tinha em casa, onde apliquei várias técnicas de pintura. Depois de várias pesquisas resolvi faze-lo com reutilização de caixa de cereais. Para a sua realização cortei a caixa de forma a conseguir colocar folhas A4 dobradas ao meio, depois forrei a caixa com uma técnica de impressão muito fácil de fazer. 

On the cover I used the candles technique. This technique consist in apply multiple candles droplets in a normal sheet of paper . After the candle dry, I painted the whole sheet with paint diluted in water and immediately afterwards without leaving dry the ink, put another sheet on top and began to iron them, keeping the positive and negative side on the sheets of paper. The cover features the positive side where we can see the dripping candle that paint did not adhere, getting this very unique effect. The paper sheets were sewn to form an artistic notebook. Na capa foi usada a técnica da cera. A técnica consiste em aplicar vários pingos de cera de uma vela normal, na folha de papel. Depois da vela seca, pintei a folha toda com tintas diluída em água e logo de seguida sem deixar secar a tinta, coloquei outra folha em cima e passei a ferro, ficando com o lado positivo e negativo. A capa apresenta o lado positivo, onde podemos ver os pingos de cera que tinta não aderiu, ficando este efeito muito original.
Os molhos de folhas foram todas cozidas com fio de algodão para formar um caderno artístico. Para saberes mais sobre a construção deste caderno, tens de ver este vídeo da jennibellie, que no meu ponto de vista é uma grande artísta de mixmedia:

End of summer

Estive outra vez a brincar com o meu caderno artístico e desta vez resolvi pintar uma orquídea que encontrei numa revista. Por vezes não sabemos que queremos pintar, só sabemos que precisamos de criar alguma coisa, então porque não pegar numa revista e desfolhá-la até encontrarmos algo que nos inspira. Foi isso que fiz neste trabalho, colei a imagem na folha e com as minhas aguarelas comecei a pintar...

Summer

We are in the summer and it gets too hot, fancy eating a full fruit ice cream, chocolate and whipped cream, being on the beach to feel the sea breeze on your face and get in your artistic book and let your mind take you to all the places you'd like to know. Estamos no verão e o calor aperta, apetece comer um gelado cheio de fruta, chocolate e chantilly, estar na praia a sentir a brisa marinha no teu rosto e pegar no teu caderno artístico e deixar a mente levar-te para todos os sítios que gostarias de conhecer. Mandala

I`m almost on vacation, but I have taken a jump in the pool when I have some free time, and while I took one of my art books and decided to draw a mandala. Mandala means magic circle and pass us harmony and serenity. If you're going on vacation now, do not forget to bring your artistic notebook and be creative while having fun. Estou quase de férias, mas já dei um salto na piscina quando tinha algum tempo livre, e enquanto isso levei um dos meus cadernos artísticos e aproveitei para desenhar uma mandala. Vacation, summer, time to travel and dream. In this heat feel like being there is the only way, feel the wind in your face, preference in good company. Traveling

My head is always traveling, always thinking of new ways to be creative, and it was with this thought that I conducted a new page of my art journal. This work was mainly done in watercolor and while working my ideas were emerging and the work flowing. I hope you enjoyed and think that while your mind is traveling you can also create art, take in your notebook and start your journey.

A minha cabeça está sempre a viajar, sempre a pensar em novas formas de ser criativa, e foi com este pensamento que realizei mais uma página do meu art journal. Este trabalho foi essencialmente realizado em aguarela e enquanto estava a trabalhar as minhas ideias iam surgindo e o trabalho fluindo. Estive a trabalhar na construção de uns pequenos cadernos feitos com materiais reutilizáveis. Comecei por pintar caixas de cereais com tintas acrílicas e algumas impressões, depois cortei-os à medida que queria, estes cadernos têm um tamanho A6. Cortei folhas comuns, coloridas e algumas com papel reciclado à medida do caderno e cosi manualmente as folhas ao caderno com aplicação de missangas.

I've been working on building small notebooks made ​​with reusable materials. I started by painting cereal boxes with acrylic paints and some impressions, then cut them as wanted, these notebooks have a A6 size. Cut common paper, colorful paper and some recycled paper and hand sewed the paper on the notebook with application of beads.

Com o mesmo tema realizei um marcador, onde apliquei fitas de organza a condizer. 

With the same theme I made a marker where applied organza ribbons to match.

Depois realizei uma aguarela de um rosto que apliquei na capa do caderno, esta aguarela é original e única. Coloquei uma palavra de incentivo "BELIEVE", acredita em ti e nos teus sonhos. 

I did a watercolor face that applied on the cover of the notebook, this watercolor is original and unique. I put an encouraging word " BELIEVE ", believe in yourself and in your dreams .

Se queremos que a nossa arte seja cada vez melhor, todos os dias devemos fazer alguma coisa, pega numa folha de papel e faz uma flor, mesmo um desenho rápido pode melhorar a tua concentração. Lembra-te que aquilo que fizeres hoje pode melhorar o teu futuro, por isso só depende de ti, começar a fazer ARTE. Este desenho foi realizado em aguarela nos tons verdes e laranja.

 If we want our art to gett better, we must do something every day, take a sheet of paper and make a flower, even a quick drawing can improve your concentration. Remember that what you do today can improve your tomorrows, so it just depends on you, start making ART. This drawing was done with watercolor in green and orange tones.

Trust your time

Nem sempre temos tempo para fazer aquilo que mais gostamos, e queríamos que os dias fossem maiores para ter tempo para fazer tudo aquilo que planeamos, outras vezes temos tempo, mas arranjamos desculpas e acabamos por não fazer nada. Depois de repente surge um click e parece que o tempo chega para tudo, mesmo o que mais gostamos de fazer, e agora eu tento sempre ter tempo para fazer aquilo que eu mais gosto - Journal e Arte. Por isso é importante confiarmos no nosso instinto e arranjar tempo para fazer ARTE.

We not always have time to do what we like, and we wanted that day were big to have time to do all that we plan, other times we have time, but make excuses and just do nothing. Then suddenly comes a click and we have time to do all we can, even all we love to do, and now I try to always have time to do what I like best - journal and art. Mesmo naqueles dias em que te sentes em baixo, pega nas tintas e no papel e cria algo que te faça sentir feliz e realizada, não deixes que a tristeza se apodere de ti e faz alguma coisa que faça brilhar o teu dia.
