Art deco

In this last correspondence the challenge was to make ATC Art Deco, these two were made with collages, bright and some inspiration. It was the first time I made ATC because they are very small is more difficult to achieve the desired effect. 

Nesta última troca de correspondência o desafio era fazer ATC em Art Deco, estes dois foram feitos com colagens, brilhantes e alguma inspiração. Foi a primeira vez que fiz ATC, e como são peças muito pequenas é mais difícil conseguir o efeito desejado. 

These ATC were sent by my friend Michele B. of New Zealand, I loved the models and all the artistic work around them. It was very rewarding to this sharing of knowledge between artists, it is always enriching this exchange of letters. 

Estes ATC foram enviados pela minha amiga Michele B. da Nova Zelândia, adorei as modelos e todo o trabalho artistico em volta delas.  Foi muito gratificante fazer esta partilha de saberes entre artistas, pois é sempre enriquecedor esta troca de correspondência.

New jornal

We all have a journey to follow, different and unique and therefore we must always follow our hearts and tell our story with feelings, when we can not do through words we can do it through painting, that's why it is important to have an art book where we can put all our feelings. This is my first page of my new artistic notebook, I will start a new journey start this journey with me.

Todos nós temos um caminho a seguir, diferente e único, e por isso mesmo devemos seguir sempre o nosso coração e contar a nossa história com sentimento e quando não o conseguimos fazer através de palavras, podemos fazê-lo através da pintura, é por isso que é importante ter um caderno artístico onde podemos colocar todos os nossos sentimentos. Esta é a minha primeira página do meu novo caderno artístico, nele vou começar um novo caminho. Podes seguir se quiseres este caminho a meu lado.

Artistic book

The most interesting thing about being an artist is that we can create whatever we please, and long ago I have in mind make an artistic book made ​​entirely with pieces of paper that had at home where I applied various painting techniques. After several researches decided to do it with cereal box reuse. For make the cover I cut the cereal box to achieve load A4 sheets folded in half, then I cover the box with a printing technique very easy to do.

A coisa mais interessante em ser artista é que podemos criar tudo aquilo que nos apetece, e já há muito tempo que tenho em mente realizar um caderno artístico feito totalmente com folhas de papel que tinha em casa, onde apliquei várias técnicas de pintura. Depois de várias pesquisas resolvi faze-lo com reutilização de caixa de cereais. Para a sua realização cortei a caixa de forma a conseguir colocar folhas A4 dobradas ao meio, depois forrei a caixa com uma técnica de impressão muito fácil de fazer. 

On the cover I used the candles technique. This technique consist in apply multiple candles droplets in a normal sheet of paper . After the candle dry, I painted the whole sheet with paint diluted in water and immediately afterwards without leaving dry the ink, put another sheet on top and began to iron them, keeping the positive and negative side on the sheets of paper. The cover features the positive side where we can see the dripping candle that paint did not adhere, getting this very unique effect. The paper sheets were sewn to form an artistic notebook. Na capa foi usada a técnica da cera. A técnica consiste em aplicar vários pingos de cera de uma vela normal, na folha de papel. Depois da vela seca, pintei a folha toda com tintas diluída em água e logo de seguida sem deixar secar a tinta, coloquei outra folha em cima e passei a ferro, ficando com o lado positivo e negativo. A capa apresenta o lado positivo, onde podemos ver os pingos de cera que tinta não aderiu, ficando este efeito muito original.
Os molhos de folhas foram todas cozidas com fio de algodão para formar um caderno artístico. Para saberes mais sobre a construção deste caderno, tens de ver este vídeo da jennibellie, que no meu ponto de vista é uma grande artísta de mixmedia:

Pray for Paris

Recently I made a midori with reusable materials, and I put adhesive decorative paper with motifs of famous cities in the world, the Eifel Tower was highlighted, that´s why I applied it a small ornament of the most famous tower in Paris. It is with sadness that today I speak of Paris because due to the massacre that took place yesterday, France is in grief. Here is my tribute to this great city that is PARIS. Today we all hold hands and pray for Paris.

Recentemente fiz um midori com materiais reutilizáveis, e forrei-o com papel decorativo autocolante com motivos de cidades famosas no mundo, e como se destacava a torre Eifel, apliquei-lhe aqui um pequeno ornamento da torre mais famosa de Paris. É com tristeza que Hoje falo de Paris pois devido ao massacre que ocorreu ontem, a França está de luto. Fica aqui a minha homenagem a esta grande cidade que é PARIS. Hoje vamos todos dar as mãos e rezar por Paris.

We are in the fall, I love the changing colors in the leaves of trees, yellows, greens, reds and browns blend creating stunning effects and rich textures, is a time of constant change of temperatures, but it is also a time to create something inspired by these colors, look around you and inspire you in the landscape.

Estamos no outono, adoro a mudança de cores nas folhas das árvores, os amarelos, verdes, vermelhos e castanhos misturam-se criando efeitos extraordinários e ricos em texturas, é uma altura de constantes mudanças de temperaturas, mas é também uma altura de criar algo novo inspirado nestas cores, olha à tua volta e inspira-te na paisagem.
